With The Vampire Diaries getting closer to the series finale (insert several minutes of sobbing here), we decided to pay tribute today to one of our favorite ships.
Delena
We admit that when the series first started, we really felt the love between Stefan and Elena. They were great high school sweethearts. But the epic love between Damon and Elena is…well…EPIC! Just look at the evidence:
You can’t help but love Damon. He’s that sexy bad boy that’s always getting into trouble. But then when you least expect it he does something so amazing…like filling in for his brother as Elena’s escort for the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant.
And he has some serious moves too. The way he just sees into her soul as they dance. SWOON!
When Damon is bitten by a werewolf, Elena stays by his side. Sorry Stefan, but the writing is on the wall. She doesn’t just care for him, she loves him.
And then there’s that kiss at the motel. You know the one we’re talking about…THAT KISS.
Let’s get a better look…
And hello that final dance…the dance where Damon KNOWS he’s about to lose the love of his life for years. Excuse us while we go grab some tissues.
