Nina Crespo’s #TopFive List: Binge watching
Date night, reading, or binge watching a show on television are just three of my great escapes. Taking a long moment to curl up on the couch with a glass of wine, remote in hand, is a nice reward between book deadlines. Here are the shows that caught my eye and recently kept me up all night.
1. Good Girls
Three suburban moms decide desperate times require desperate measures to take back control of their lives. This show is the perfect combination of drama and comedy.
2. Star Trek: The Next Generation
Science fiction is my weakness. The entire Star Trek franchise stays on my show list. I’m currently in mad love with Star Trek: Discovery, but with Star Trek: Picard on the horizon, this classic series was a definite rewatch.
3. Queen of the South
My husband discovered this one, and I ended up going along for the ride. It’s gritty, but the main protagonist is a woman who learns to survive in a violent world, and she kicks butt.
4. Love Island – USA
This reality show is a wild, delicious mess. A group of singles finding love while living/cuddling up on a tropical island. Drama, drama, drama! (Yes, please!!!) I can’t stop watching the challenges, twists, turns, and shenanigans.
5. Osmosis
“A dating app matches singles with their soul mates by mining their brain data…but the beta test yields unwelcome surprises…”
Ooh! How could I not find out what happened? In my opinion, it was worth diving into.
