Jon Snow & Daenerys Targaryen

What’s one of my favorite tropes? Forbidden love! And what forbidden romance is more exciting than Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen? Of course, neither of them knows why their love is forbidden (YET), but they’ll find out soon enough. Come on, Season 8! BEWARE: SPOILERS AHEAD!

In case you’ve been living under a rock, let’s recap these two briefly, shall we? First, meet Jon Snow…

Dark, broody, and all kinds of delicious. Oh! And totally a badass warrior. I nearly fainted while watching him face-off Ramsey’s army like the bravest damn man who ever lived. Epic!

Meet Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons and rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Or so she thinks. (Snicker.)

Both Daenerys and Jon have both been deeply in love…

Jon and his wildling love, Ygritte…

For a while, Jon was after just one kind of girl.

Unfortunately, his wildling love died. As did Daenerys’s Drogo (super sad tears). BUT that leads them down the road toward each other. At first, Jon wasn’t all that impressed with Daenerys, Miss High-and-Mighty. And neither was she. But nice and slowly, they start to give each other these looks…

We, the audience, all know that these two are actually aunt and nephew (it’s complicated), but Jon still doesn’t know who his parents are, so why shouldn’t they be giving each other the come-hither bedroom eyes?

Of course, we as the audience are screaming “HELL, YES” even though we should probably feel some sort of ick-factor with the whole incest part of this relationship. (I don’t. #SorryNotSorry) No matter what, these two give the audience the steamiest forbidden love scene EVER. Can’t show you that (go watch GOT—season 7+final episode=delish), but I can tell you it all happens behind these closed doors. ;)

So if you haven’t experienced this epic saga that is #GOT, best hurry it up. “Winter is coming,” y’all.

Season 8 is around the corner. I wonder what it might have in store! Hmmmm…

When Princess Vilhelmina Dragomir is awakened from her hellish sleep with a blood kiss from a handsome stranger, she learns that much has changed while she’s been away. The armies of the Black Lily and the vampire Crown have amassed and are on the brink of war.

No romantic entanglements, no family. Mikhail Romanov, Captain of the Bloodguard, took a vow when he joined the Bloodguard. But he never planned for the gut-punching attraction he would feel for the untouchable princess. He must keep his focus, though. In order to avenge his family, it’s essential he help Mina claim her crown and keep his damn hands off of her.

But Mina sets her heart on the elusive captain, and keeping his focus on the great battle ahead becomes harder and harder. While they’re making plans, the evil King Dominik has been making some of his own. This time, he will show no mercy to the Princess…

Juliette calls lush, moss-laden Louisiana home where the landscape curls into her imagination, creating mystical settings for her stories. She has a B.A. in creative writing from Louisiana State University, a M.Ed. in gifted education, and was privileged to study under the award-winning author Ernest J. Gaines in grad school. Her love of mythology, legends, and art serve as constant inspiration for her works. From the moment she read JANE EYRE as a teenager, she fell in love with the Gothic romance–brooding characters, mysterious settings, persevering heroines, and dark, sexy heroes. Even then, she not only longed to read more novels set in Gothic worlds, she wanted to create her own.
