#IShipIt Fairytale Style: Danielle & Prince Henry
So, who loves fairytales? *waves hand in the air like a maniac* I’m just a bit of a fan. The 1990s Cinderella adaptation Ever After has always been one of my faves. Let’s stroll down memory lane…
I adored our feisty “Cinderella,” Danielle…
Who was not only strong-willed but also smart and loved books. Perfect heroine. ;)
And when she meets the handsome Prince Henry, he recognizes not just her beauty but her intelligence. Definitely my kind of hero.
And man, that prince can give some swoony kisses…
I also loved the humor of this romance, like when Danielle has to carry the prince on her back in order to escape bandit gypsies in the woods…
After that, we get more swoony kisses. No complaints here…
So everything is perfect until the wicked stepmother steps in…
Of course, the hateful woman tries to prevent Danielle from going to the ball, but with the help of her fairy godmother Leonardo da Vinci (I swear, I love this movie), she makes it …
But the evil stepmother and stepsister do their best to tear Danielle and Prince Henry apart. Luckily, they fail. The crowning moment (pun intended) is when the wicked stepsister sees Danielle walk in as princess…
The stepsister is stunned, of course…
And then Prince Henry puts her in her place…
Gah! I love this movie so hard! Now I want to rewatch ASAP. What other swoony fairytale or story retellings do you love on film?
One more swoony kiss clip for the road! ;)
