#RightOrWrong: King Arthur or Lancelot with Lisa Kessler

King Arthur or Lancelot

Welcome to Camelot! One of the most famous love triangles ever. I’ve always been fascinated with the notion that a kingdom could fall based on a queen’s heart. I watch almost every new incarnation that comes out, but the musical version with Richard Harris is still my favorite. If you’ve never seen it, go watch it right away! It’s SO good! Bring tissues! LOL Here’s a trailer:

You can’t help but love King Arthur and his love for Guinevere and Lancelot is palpable. In the end of this version, both men lose her, but in my heart, I always thought Guinevere should have ended up with Lancelot. She was betrothed to Arthur and she did learn to love him for sure, but when Lance came into her life, there was no planning, no duty, she fell in love. Forbidden, unwanted, but real passionate love.

As a side note, during the making of the movie Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero did fall in love! And recently they reunited to make the movie “Letters to Juliet” and they rekindled it again…. Awwwww!!!!
Guinevere + Lancelot forever! :D
