Glória Marie Ramirez-Pritchett (Sofía Vergara) in Modern Family. Because she never takes no for an answer, is fiercely protective of her family and is very clever and funny. She is also very, very beautiful – I’d like some of those genes! –Rachel Lyndhurst, author of The Greek Tycoon’s Tarnished Bride

Sarah Conner from Terminator, mother of John Conner, the savior of the world. She is such a strong character. And I love the transformation from the first film to Judgement Day where she totally kicks ass. –Nina Croft, author of His Fantasy Girl

Right now, my favorite fictional mom has got to be Linda Belcher from Bob’s Burgers. She’s hilarious and outrageous, but she loves her family no matter how crazy they get. “Mommy doesn’t get drunk. She just has fun.” –Tamara Hughes, author of His Pirate Seductress

Sybil Stone from The Family Stone, played by Diane Keaton. I feel as if this role was made for her, and I love how much influence she exerts over her family. She’s blunt, subtle, obvious, devious, and hilarious, and every moment seems heightened because she’s running out of time to guide her children into happy relationships. –Robyn Thomas, author of His Unexpected Family

June Cleaver from Leave It to Beaver. I watched Leave it to Beaver when it aired in prime time, and thought I wanted to be that kind of mother when I grew up. June Cleaver was even-keeled, rational, never overbearing, and pleasant to be around. After I grew up, I realized my biological mom had those same great characteristics, so what I hadn’t realized at the time I was watching the show, was that I was seeing my own mother in June Cleaver! –Kathleen Bittner Roth, author of Portrait of a Forbidden Lady

Amy Duncan! (From Disney’s Good Luck, Charlie TV show)— I love her because she is ME. LOL. –Jennifer Shirk, author of From Fake to Forever

Tammy Taylor from Friday Night Lights! She is what I aspire to be in a mom. :) –Stacy Abrams, Editorial Director

Amy from Bad Moms. She does so much for her kids, and tries to do it all. Then once she breaks, while she goes a little wild (as all us moms do when we need a break), she learns balance for herself and her kids. In the end she’s the BEST mom. –Katie Clapsadl, Rights & Royalties Associate
“How can you even begin to understand what I’ve had to do to bring you to this world? You’ve been my only care for over a thousand years. I’ve endured anguish and loss and pain. I’ve lived in poverty and squalor for hundreds of years at a time, gave up a sister I loved more than life itself, gone through fire and despair worse than fire -all for you!”
Polgara, to her nephew Belgarion from David Eddings’ Belgariad series. Best. Mother. Ever!
