Former Walker Bloomsbury editor joins Entangled Publishing as Editorial Director

Ms. Abrams, an industry veteran most recently with Walker Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing, PLC, has worked with such stellar YA authors as Jessica Warman, Tracy Deebs, Michelle Rowen, Loretta Ellsworth, Allison Rushby, Alex Scarrow, and Amy Fellner Dominy, as well as many others.  Her books have received numerous starred reviews from major review journals such as School Library Journal, Kirkus, and Booklist, and have won ALA awards and been named to multiple state award lists.

The move to Entangled will allow Ms. Abrams to expand her repertoire to include adult contemporary fiction and romance and to work with a wide variety of new and established authors.  “While the decision to leave Bloomsbury was a difficult one,” she says, “the decision to join Entangled was easy.  I truly believe that their business model is the future of publishing.  With an experienced and welcoming group of editors, an established list of debut as well as experienced authors, and a dedicated and passionate publicity team, I believe Entangled is poised for success.”  She believes the company is  moving beyond the typical boundaries by acquiring books with strong, unique voices and hooks.  “These are the must-have books that will make a strong showing in today’s difficult bookstore climate.  I feel fortunate to be getting involved so early on in the company’s life.  I look forward to helping shape Entangled’s list of quality fiction far into the future.”
